When we first launched Tanya's Two Cents, my hope was simple: provide quick, practical tips that help our members make informed financial decisions and stay one step ahead of fraudsters. What I didn't expect was just how much those conversations would resonate.
The response has been incredible. What started as a simple social media series has grown into something much bigger, reaching far beyond our membership and sparking conversations throughout our communities. It's also led to some unexpected opportunities such as being invited to join the Your Money Matters More show on KELOLAND+ that airs on Thursdays at 6:30pm where I discussed today's ever-changing fraud landscape and the role financial institutions play in educating the public.

While the attention has certainly been humbling, the real takeaway isn't about me or our Credit Union — it's about the need. Fraud is evolving every day. Scammers are becoming more sophisticated, more convincing, and unfortunately, more successful. Education has become one of the most powerful tools we have to help protect not only our members, but anyone who could become a target.
That's why we'll continue talking about these topics. Whether it's a social media video, a community presentation, a podcast interview, or simply a conversation across the teller line — every opportunity to share information is another opportunity to prevent someone from becoming the next victim.
If even one person pauses before clicking that suspicious link, questions an unexpected phone call, or recognizes the warning signs of a scam because of something they've learned from us, then every minute spent creating this content has been worthwhile.
Thank you for watching, sharing, and helping us spread the word. Fraud prevention is truly a community effort, and together, we can make it much harder for scammers to succeed.
