East River Federal Credit Union conducted its 66th Annual Meeting on Tuesday, August 15, 2021, at 5:30 pm following a member appreciation grill out. A welcome and introduction of the Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee was given by Tanya Hobson, President/CEO. Jeff Nelson, Board of Directors Chairperson, and Amy Dockendorf, Supervisory Committee Chairperson both gave their respective annual reports. They highlighted how the Credit Union continues to be a safe and trusted financial institution in the communities it serves. Chairperson Nelson also stated that the Credit Union is looking to invest in upgraded technology that will provide members with a more seamless and enjoyable financial experience.
Two Board of Directors positions were open, with three candidates brought forth by the Nominating Committee. Stacy Krusemark, incumbent, and Mike Jaspers, incumbent, were chosen by member vote to fill the two open positions. All elections are determined by plurality vote.
The East River Federal Credit Union Board of Directors is as follows: Randy Hoffman, Chairperson; Brenda Colombe, Vice Chairperson; Mike Jaspers, Secretary/Treasurer; Stacy Krusemark, Director; and Jeff Nelson, Director.

East River FCU is a member-owned cooperative and is governed by the Board of Directors. The Directors are Credit Union members who are elected by the membership and who volunteer their time to work in the best interest of the membership.
During the end of the meeting, CU Mortgage Direct gave away a $50 and a $100 Visa®️ Gift Card to two randomly drawn members in attendance. CU Mortgage Direct is a credit union service organization that is owned by credit unions all over South Dakota including East River Federal Credit Union. They offer home loans for many different programs including conventional, FHA, VA, USDA/RA, CHIP and the South Dakota Housing Development Authority.
The Credit Union also released its 2022 Annual Report during the meeting.
