National Youth Month Blasts Off at East River FCU

Every child dreams about their future. Some of those dreams may require money to come true. How do you help your children achieve their dreams?

One way is to help them learn how to save their money.

In April, East River Federal Credit Union is celebrating Youth Month, which is a program that helps teach and encourage kids to develop good financial habits. Every member under the age of 18 who makes a deposit during April will be entered to win the National Youth Savings ChallengeTM*.

Join us Monday, April 2nd in our lobby as we blast off into National Youth Month with treats, prizes and more!

The theme this year is “The Science of Saving,” showcasing fun, sci-fi-inspired characters. Science has proven that if you start with small goals, saving your money can become a regular habit. This year’s Youth Month inspires children to begin saving the money they earn so they can attain their dreams of a happy future.

*The National Youth Saving Challenge is FREE and open to all youth under 18 who visit a participating credit union during April. While youth are encouraged to make a deposit at the credit union, no deposit is required to enter.
Parents/guardians giving permission for their youth to enter can submit on a 3" x 5" piece of paper the following information to the credit union:
• Name
• Date
• Current age
Limit one entry per person.
Odds of winning depend on number of entrants. This contest is void where prohibited.
In May, the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) will randomly select and give a $1,000 grand prize to a participating credit union. That credit union will then randomly select a winner from its entrants. Your credit union will notify you if you are a winner.
