East River Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce the advancement of Trasi Smith to the VP of Operations position. She previously held the role of Senior Member Service Representative within the organization.
Smith has served in the financial industry for eight years, four of them with East River FCU. During that time, she was responsible for a variety of tasks and completed training relating to the many different aspects of the Credit Union organization.
“I’m passionate about the Credit Union movement and its philosophy of People Helping People that separates us from a traditional bank,” said Trasi Smith. “I care about our individual members and want to do all I can within this new role to make their financial lives successful.”
The VP of Operations oversees all Credit Union operations and serves alongside the President.
East River FCU President, Tanya Hobson states, “Trasi has done a great job strengthening processes and procedures in her previous role and is not afraid to roll up her sleeves and dive in when needed. She is committed to the membership, as well as, her teammates and I am confident she will help guide our Credit Union to the next level.”
