East River FCU Now Offers Debit Card Fraud Alerts Via Text

East River FCU is pleased to announce enhanced fraud protection for all debit cardholders.

Previously, when fraud was detected on a debit card, cardholders would receive an automated voice call. Beginning August 1st, members will have the option to enroll in fraud alerts via text message that will be sent immediately when the fraud is detected. If a cardholder does not respond to the message, they will receive an automated voice call.  Examples of the enrollment message and the various text messages are shown below.

Debit card users are also encouraged to download and enroll in CardValet™, an app that allows for monitoring debit card activity and features on and off controls. Click here for more information.
