Message to Members: Restricted Lobby Access

In accordance with the CDC and the SD Department of Health’s recommendations, East River Federal Credit Union has decided to implement social distancing for the protection of its members and employees by temporarily restricting access to our lobby for the next week effective Friday, March 20, 2020.  We remain dedicated to serving our members and will continue to do so via our drive-up, over the phone and through online banking.  We will re-evaluate lobby access based on CDC and SD Department of Health recommendations and provide updates weekly.

We know that as a financial institution, we are an essential and necessary part of your daily life and by limiting the potential of our employees being exposed we will better be able to provide members with full service throughout these uncertain times.  Our staff will be available when you need them through a variety of banking options.

We know that having access to your funds is a high priority and we want to assure you that we will continue to have team members available to serve you.  As a reminder, your money is federally insured up to at least $250,000 per individual depositor while on deposit with East River Federal Credit Union.  For more information on NCUA share insurance coverage please visit

Our member services representatives and loan officers will be able to serve you during our regular business hours over the phone at 605-256-8145. When you do call in, options are as follows:

  • Press 2 to talk to member services about your account information, debit cards, or online banking help.
  • Press 3 to apply for a loan or speak with a loan officer.
  • Press 4 for lost or stolen credit or debit cards.
  • Press 5 to hear your phone banking options

In addition, we offer you an online application for our loan products. Most documents can be securely signed using electronic signatures from the comfort of your home. We can even work with you via video conferencing if you so choose.

As always, you can access your account 24 hours a day through online banking, our mobile app, and our ATM. We have put together short tutorial sheets to help you through online transactions (see below) or feel free to give us a call with any questions.
